Pens of Pence is a collection of original writings and drawings by Pence students each school year. (eBook).


Introducing This Year's "Pens of Pence!"

Have you created a drawing or written a poem, or other work of art or writing this school year, that you are especially proud of?

If so, consider submitting it for publication in our eBook, PENS OF PENCE!

Guidelines:

Writings

  • Must be ORIGINAL and created this school year, by the student who is submitting.

  • May be poetry of any type (school appropriate)

  • May be a short story or other prose.

  • It could be a song you wrote (you could even upload you singing it!)

  • If you need/want more than one page, email Ms. Hall.

  • Please be sure to edit your work so it represents you well.

  • Your page will be identified with your first name and last initial in the Table of Contents.

  • Your name should not be on the submitted page.

Drawings

  • Must be ORIGINAL and created this school year, by the student who is submitting.

  • May be created on paper, photographed and imported to your page.

  • May be created using the digital tools provided with your page.

  • May use pens, pencils, markers, paints, and erasers for your drawings; real or digital.

  • Make sure to only submit school appropriate artwork.

  • Your page will be identified with your first name and last initial in the Table of Contents.

  • Your full name should not be on the submitted page.

Students who contribute to the Pens of Pence will get to preview the eBook before it is published for everyone in our school community.

Complete this short form and you will receive an email from Ms. Hall with everything you need to know for submitting your art/writing into the 2021-2022 "Pens of Pence."

Dates/Deadlines:

5/1/2023 - Your page must be completely ready for publication by 8pm.

5/12/2023 - optional PREVIEW for all contributors. during -----------, in the Library

5/14/2023 - Publication of Pens of Pence : 2022-2023 - locations: Pence Press (5/14/23 issue), WSPMS Library Home Page and "PoP" page. A digital copy will be sent to each contributor via school email.
